The Crosier devotion to St. Odilia dates back to 1287, when she appeared to Br. John of Eppa and told him that God had commanded her to be the protectress of the Order and shared with him where her relics could be found. Br. John and his companion, Fr. Louis, journeyed from Paris to Cologne, where they unearthed her remains and those of her two sisters, Ida and Emma. During their return journey, many cures took place that were credited to the intercession of St. Odilia.
Novenas in honor of St. Odilia are made twice a month, beginning on the 5th and 17th, and the national novena begins on July 10 and ends on St. Odilia's Feast Day, July 18. Join the Crosiers in prayer!
