Why did you join the Crosiers? I was a high school seminary student at the Crosier-run Our Lady of the Lake Seminary in Syracuse, Indiana, and I was attracted to Crosier community life and the teaching apostolate.
How do you find life and meaning in living your vocation as a Crosier? Being a Crosier has deepened my personal commitment to the Gospel of Christ, providing me with a community in which to live out that commitment day by day in service to the Church and world. I have made my own the Crosier lifestyle of fraternity, liturgy and ministry in the unique balance of the Canons Regular tradition of religious life. The Crosier spirituality of the Glorious Cross has thoroughly shaped my Christian and religious experience.
My ministry: As a Crosier, I participate in the apostolic presence of the community to promote fraternity, liturgical prayer and service, particularly in South Phoenix. As an ordained Crosier, I care for the sacramental and pastoral needs of English– and Spanish–speaking parishes in various ways from the base of community life. I care for the liturgical needs of the Portuguese-speaking community in Phoenix. I have served in many leadership roles in the Crosier community and as a missionary in Africa and Brazil. I am currently a spiritual director, motivational speaker and retreat master and develop innovative programs for Crosier Village Ministries. I specialize in ministry to men and women veterans (CrossWalk) and direct a Crosier school (ESEC) for training lay spiritual directors in the Hispanic community.
