Statement Regarding Notice of Claim served on the Crosiers

10-APRIL-2015 (Phoenix, Arizona) -- On April 10, the Crosiers received a Notice of Claim served on them regarding a deceased Crosier accused of sexual abuse of a minor, Br. Roman Fleischhacker, osc. 

Br. Roman Fleischhacker, osc, had assignments to serve at the Crosier Community of Onamia in Onamia, Minnesota (1949–1985) (2000–2013); the Provincialate (1986–1987); and the Crosier Community of Hastings in Hastings, Nebraska (1987–2000). Br. Roman Fleischhacker, osc, died Sept. 14, 2013.
The Crosiers take any claim of abuse by any Crosier, staff person or volunteer associated with them seriously and remain vigilant to ensure accountability and the safety of the people they serve. 
The Crosiers do not tolerate any forms of sexual abuse and have stringent policies and actions of accountability in place to prevent future abuse. They are committed to their efforts toward transparency.
